How To Install The USB Drivers For The Orange San Francisco / ZTE Blade / ZTE U-V880

USB drivers for the Orange San Francisco / ZTE Blade / ZTE U-V880 are only required for computers running Windows.

You do NOT need to install the USB drivers before following our guide on how to install custom ROMs.

Mac and Linux users do NOT need to install any USB Drivers.

All Android phones require drivers to communicate with a Windows PC, including the Android Orange San Francisco / ZTE Blade, and other phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S and HTC Desire. Linux and Mac users do not require drivers to use their Android phones.

You do NOT need to install the USB drivers before following our guide on how to install custom ROMs.


  1. Download the correct drivers for your operating system below and extract the zip file to your Desktop.

  3. Turn on your phone and connect to your PC using the USB cable.
  4. A New Hardware Wizard should start. Close the Wizard as soon as it starts.
  5. Click on the Start button, right click on Computer and click Manage.
  6. Click on Device Manager.
  7. Right click on the first yellow exclamation mark that says ZTE HSUSB Device. It may be named different on your computer.
  8. Click on Update Driver Software or Update Driver.

  10. Click Browse my computer for driver software. If you are using Windows XP, click Install from a list or specific location.
  11. Click the Browse button and select the folder you extracted from the zip file earlier.
  12. Click Next. The Driver will automatically install.
  13. Go back to Step 4 for any other devices with a yellow exclamation mark.
  14. Unplug and turn off your phone.
  15. Turn on the phone whilist holding the Volume Up button on the side of your phone. Continue to hold the Volume Up button for 5 seconds.
  16. The green android logo will stay on the screen.
  17. Plug your phone back into your PC.
  18. A New Hardware Wizard should start again. Like before, close the Wizard as soon as it starts.

  19. Go back to Step 4 and follow until Step 11.
  20. The USB Drivers should now be successfully installed on your PC.
